STUDIO NICHOLSON

Nick Wakeman launched Studio Nicholson in 2010 with an education from Chelsea School of Art and a distinguished two-decade career in menswear design behind her. The label’s focus is on premium fabrics, with inspiration coming from the architecture and interiors of Japan, where the designer has a strong following. This led to a collaboration with MoonStar, a company that has spent over 150 years developing solutions for contemporary footwear that preserve traditions and the use of traditional techniques such as ka-ryu – a vulcanising process performed by only a handful of shoe manufacturers around the globe. Working closely with experienced manufacturers in Italy, Portugal, Japan and the UK, the label combines comfort and function with clean, modern construction.
